How it all began:
Marriage Week is a fast growing coalition of Christian media, ministries, and other organisations across Australia. Marriage Week was 'visioned' in 2007, initiated in Sydney and elsewhere in September 2008. Launched nationally in 2009. We welcome and support all who have the same underlying values.

What are partners ?
A Marriage Week partner is one that:
- Believes that marriage was foundational in God's plan of creation;
- Believes that marriage is between one man and one woman to the exclusion of all others;
- Values marriage as a binding public commitment, which becomes the foundation of healthy families, healthy children, and a healthy community. This social institution is enshrined in the history of civilisation, providing generational links and stability;
- Seeks to promote the value of marriage, based on Judeo-Christian scripture.
The week, starting each year on the 2nd Sunday in September, promotes, celebrates and honours marriage in local communities and nationally, providing support, encouragement and effective tools for marriages across Australia.
